It’s been a busy winter for Amar Ibiza, the group that caught the attention on-island with unique eatery La Dispensa, as it put the finishing touches to three new restaurants in and around Dalt Vila. Wasa-B (open all year), Sa Mar (open all year) and La Imprenta are all set to light up the competitive foodie scene on the island in the coming weeks as La Dispensa prepares itself for the official spring opening on April 1.
The popular eatery, spread across four stylish spaces on Santa Creu Street in Dalt Vila is open now, from Tuesday until Saturday from 19.00 until 24.00 but, from Saturday April 1 La Dispensa will open every day from 13.00 to 16.00 and 19.00 until 1.00am. With a choice of menus as well as spaces, there’s never a dull moment in the company of La Dispensa. The staff is well educated on its various dishes and more than capable of giving some advice, should you need it.
One of the best times to visit is early evening, when day turns to night and the Dalt Vila is lit in that deep blue hue as the sky goes dark and when the walled community comes to life. The atmosphere is truly unique and the fact that you are surrounded by hundreds of years of history is not lost on you. Wandering around the tight streets of the Dalt Vila before dinner is the perfect way to work up an appetite – with numerous boutiques, including La Dispensa’s own lifestyle concept store, offering one of a kind pieces – you can experience an genuinely authentic experience. Our advice, clear your calendar, make your booking and immerse yourself in old Ibiza for the night, you won’t be disappointed.
Whether you choose to dine al fresco or inside one of the stylishly decorated restaurants, fancy some delicious fresh sushi or have a craving for traditional Italian food with a contemporary twist, La Dispensa offers something for everyone. The ability to order from four menus no matter which space you find yourself in is one of its many advantages. Ibiza 2016 saw the popular eatery enjoy its best season to date and, with a selection of fantastic venues set to join it in the Amar Ibiza group stable, 2017 promises to be something very exciting indeed. For islanders and early visitors, the opportunity to sample its amazing vibe before the summer kicks off in earnest is not one you want to ignore, just remember and reserve your table in advance, it’s no longer the best kept secret on the island.
